C14-PARIS is addressed
-to the authors of sculptural pieces (from volume to media mix installation). Excluded from this living room are the so-called utility parts ( vase, pot, dishes, accessory, furniture)
The selection of exhibitors is made on file by the members of the jury. The call for applications is launched on January 12, 2023 and closes on February 13, 2023. The artistic file must be completed online.
Participation fees see ART.1 of this Regulation.
The jury is composed of F.Bodet, L.Crespin, L.Recchia, P.Loughran and two external guests, artist, or from the museum community or the art market.
THE FAIR’S JURY WILL THEREFORE AWARD 3 AWARDS
-Prize Gallery exhibition in a municipal gallery in Paris or in a private French or foreign gallery
-Residence Award (encouragement of an approach) in France or Europe in a partner place.
-Jury Prize awarded by the C14-PARIS Association, welcoming the qualities of a work independently
Of any other parameter. Its obtaining allows the winner to exhibit for free on the ground floor of the show (about 20m2)
OBLIGATIONS OF THE C14-PARIS ASSOCIATION
C14-PARIS undertakes to make available to the exhibitor a stand in accordance with what has been announced and the dates given (unless the show is cancelled beyond our control – see. Art. 11 last paragraph of the Regulation)
C14-PARIS is committed to promoting the Show as best as possible and within the limits of its financial resources:
– on his website
by publishing newsletters
by being present on social networks (Facebook and Instagram)
by associating with the skills of a press officer
by purchasing advertising space from strategic journals
by having professionals make a teaser video put online on the first day of the show
by having a professional photographer make a photographic report of the show.
C14-PARIS undertakes to publish a color catalog reproducing a work by each of the exhibitors
The exhibitor will benefit from 2 free copies of the catalog
OBLIGATIONS OF THE EXPONENT
ART.1
Participation fees
The successful candidate must pay the exhibition participation fee of a total amount of €350. Payment can be paid either in two checks of €175 sent to the association or by bank transfer within one week of the announcement of its selection. In the absence of payment within 7 days, the selection will be cancelled.
This financial contribution contributes to the organization of the event and the realization of the catalog.
He will also have to complete and return within 7 days the graphic designer form attached to him, intended for the writing of his catalog page.
ART.2
Selection of works
The works exhibited are the result of a consensual choice made upstream by the management of the Salon and the artist. They must be recent and/or never exposed.
The proposed works must be mostly ceramic but can be composite.
Mostly ceramic installations can contain non-ceramic elements (drawings, photos, paintings…)
If works on display, not previously submitted to the management of the Salon, are deemed contrary to the ethics of the Salon, the management is entitled to ask the exhibitor to remove them.
ART.3
Exclusive rights
The selected artist undertakes not to exhibit in parallel in Île de France during the 6 months preceding the C14-PARIS Salon. If the management of the Salon is notified, it will cancel the registration, even if the nature of the exhibits differs from one place to another. The exhibitor will not be entitled to any reimbursement or compensation.
ART.4
Booth
The exhibitors have a standard stand of H. 250 x W.300 x D.100cm in matt white plywood 1.5cm thick. Wall parts, on the floor, on bases are accepted. Exhibitors are responsible for its layout. The latter must be thought of as a real scenographic issue. The project must be submitted to the management of the Salon and discussed. Fabrics and curtains should be avoided.
The lighting of the stand is planned. For fire safety reasons, any addition of a spot or electrical outlet is prohibited
NB: for fire safety reasons, it is forbidden to store cartons and other packaging behind the stands or elsewhere at the exhibition site.
ART.5
Presence at the living room
Exhibitors undertake to be present at their stand throughout the Salonet during the stated opening hours. In the event of a punctual and unavoidable absence, they must notify a member of the office present.
ART.6
Transport of works
The round-trip transport of the works on display, as well as their handling, is the sole responsibility of the exhibitors.
ART.7
Housing in Paris is the responsibility of the exhibitor.
ART.8
Assurance of exhibitors’ works
The C14-PARIS association does not provide exhibitors or works. It is everyone’s responsibility to take out individual civil insurance and to insure their works against breakage or theft.
Artists are solely responsible for the objects presented or stored in their stand as well as for damage caused to third parties as a result of their installation.
ART.9
Reproduction rights
Each exhibitor undertakes to assign his rights to the use of the visual intended for the catalog between the beginning of April and the end of November for the purpose of promoting the event (paper press and internet)
Each exhibitor undertakes to definitively assign his rights to the use of the images made during the Show at the request of C14-PARIS to the videographer and the photographer delegates.
ART.10
Sales
The annex room of the Town Hall of the 14th arr. of Paris is not a commercial gallery. C14-PARIS has no commercial purpose and does not intend to collect a commission on possible sales. The price list established is indicative and for any acquisition request, the visitor is encouraged to contact the exhibitor directly.
The organizer’s responsibility can under no circumstances be retained in the event of a conflict of any kind between buyers and exhibitors.
ART.11
Withdrawal of the candidate
In the event of withdrawal of an exponent:
-Before the end of May, only half of his payment will be returned to him, i.e. €175
- after the end of May, the entire payment will be kept by the association.
The signing of these regulations and the registration form result in the obligation for the issuer to expressly comply with them as well as all the requirements that it would be appropriate for the prefectural and municipal administrations to issue on police and security measures without recourse of any kind.
Any delay, change of date or early closure beyond the control of C14-PARIS will not give rise to any compensation.
If C14-PARIS were forced to abolish the Show, the refund of the sums collected would be made immediately. No recourse in any way against the organizers or the C14-PARIS association is admissible.
