Selection of works

The exhibited works result from a consensual choice made in advance by the Salon management and the artist. They must be recent and/or never exposed. The proposed works must be mainly ceramic but can be a composite. Mostly ceramic installations may contain non-ceramic elements (drawings, photos, paintings, etc.). If exhibited works, not previously submitted to the show management, are deemed contrary to the goals of the show, the management has the right to remove them.

The selected artist agrees not to exhibit in parallel in Ile de France during the 6 months preceding the Salon C14-PARIS. If the show management is notified, it will cancel the registration, even if the nature of the exhibits differs from one place to another.

Exhibitors have a standard stand of H.250 x L.300 x D.100 cm in white plywood 1.5 cm thick. Pieces on the wall, floor, or on pedestals are accepted. Exhibitors are responsible for its layout. The latter must be thought of as a real scenographic issue. The project must be submitted to the Show management and discussed. Fabrics and curtains are to be avoided. Stand lighting is planned. For reasons of fire safety, any addition of spot or electrical outlets is prohibited.

N.B.: For fire safety reasons, it is forbidden to store cartons and other packaging behind the stand or elsewhere at the exhibition venue.

Presence at the show

Exhibitors agree to be present at their stand for the duration of the Show and at the stated opening hours. In the event of a punctual and unavoidable absence, they must inform a member of the management.

Transportation of works

The return transport of the exhibited items, as well as their handling are the sole responsibility of the exhibitors.

Accommodation in Paris is the responsibility of the exhibitor.

Insurance of exhibitors’ works

The association C14-PARIS does not insure exhibitors or works. It is the responsibility of everyone to subscribe to an individual civil insurance and to insure their works against breakage or theft. The artists are solely responsible for the objects presented or stored in their stand as well as damage caused to third parties because of their installation.

Reproduction Rights

Each exhibitor will assign his or her rights to the use of the visuals for the catalog between early April and the end of November to promote the event (print and internet). Each exhibitor assigns his or her rights to the use of the images made during the Salon at the request of C14-PARIS to the videographer and the delegated photographer.

The Annex of the Town Hall is not a commercial gallery. C14-PARIS has no commercial purpose and does not intend to collect a commission on any sales. The list of prices established is indicative and for any request for acquisition, the visitor is encouraged to contact the exhibitor directly. The organizer’s responsibility cannot be accepted in the event of a conflict between buyers and exhibitors.

Withdrawal of candidate

In case of the withdrawal of an exhibitor after the closure date of the catalog (late May) money already deposited will not be reimbursed. Signing the present regulations and the registration entail for the exhibitor the obligation to comply with them expressly as well as all the prescriptions that would be appropriate for the prefectural and municipal administrations to enact concerning the police and security measures, and without any recourse of any kind. Any delay, change of date or early closure beyond the control of C14-PARIS will not give right to any compensation. If C14-PARIS were forced to cancel the show, the refund of the sums collected would be immediately made. No recourse to an indemnity whatsoever against the organizers or the association C14-PARIS is admissible.
